In August 2011, along with a couple of close friends, I climbed into an RV and hit the road to shoot some interviews for my upcoming film, "Permission to Board: Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind."
Our first stop was the ECETI Ranch in Trout Lake, Washington to interview James Gilliland and Jon Kelly. Then it was off to Ashland, Oregon to catch a presentation by Carol Rosin and then film an interview with her. While in Ashland, we stumbled across visionary artist Davin Infinity and decided he would be great to put in the film as well. So we quickly arranged a spontaneous interview with Davin at the Peace Festival on the grounds of Jackson Well Springs.
Next stop was Weed, California to visit a friend who had some beautiful property at the foothills of Mt. Shasta. He told us shortly after we arrived, that he sees light ships all the time over the mountain. We sat down on his deck that faced directly towards the mountain and within a few short minutes the show began.
Sure enough, before it was even completely dark and the stars were out, we saw a giant light ship hover over the mountain, power up very bright and then disappear right down into the mountain. It was absolutely amazing and took our breath away! We felt so fortunate to see this kind of activity on our very first trip to the Mt. Shasta area.
The next we day ventured into the town of Mt. Shasta and then onto the mountain itself, before taking a quick side trip around Lake Siskiyou.
When I heard Andrew D. Basiago during his first presentation at the Awakening Center on October 8th mention that he had attended a Mars training class in 1980 in Weed at the College of the Siskiyous, I about fell out of my chair!
Three months prior, I had never even heard of Weed, California, let alone knew where it was! Not only was Andrew D. Basiago referencing the small town near Mt. Shasta but I had been there myself just eight weeks hence! What synchronicity!
Below are some photos from our expeditions to Weed and Mt. Shasta. We had quite an adventure and got some great interviews for the film.
